Construction activity outside the City Centre branch on Pinetree Way is ongoing. There will be continual lane and sidewalk closures during construction. Please observe all signage and plan alternate routes when possible.

Starting July 25 until the third week in August there will be night time work along Pinetree Way. This will be between the hours of 8:00 pm to 6:00 am. Visitors may have to enter and exit via the Lincoln entrance, please watch for detour routes and traffic delays.

BC Day

The library will be closed Sunday, July 31 and Monday, August 1 for BC Day long weekend.





Raspberry Pi: Learning to Code for Preteens and Early Teens

Join Professor Eric Meyers and graduate students from the UBC iSchool to learn to code the Raspberry Pi microcomputer to play music, create simple animations, build circuits, and program sensors.


Tiny Stories @ Kaleidoscope

Thank you for your wonderful and creative Tiny Stories.The winners will read their stories at Kaleidoscope at Town Centre Park on Saturday July 23 at 2 pm at the Story Café . You can also check the page, where the winning stories have been posted.

Innovation Hub at City Centre

Come to City Centre branch (1169 Pinetree Way) and use our 3D printers, scanners, and high powered creative software to bring your innovative ideas to life.

Open House
–  Every Tuesday from 1 to 5 pm.  Drop in and learn the basics of 3D printing, equipment use, and how to get started with your design.

Try It! Thursdays – Every Thursday from 1 to 5 pm.  For those who have attended an Open House or have previous 3D printing experience.  Reserve your spot on one of our machines to bring your design to reality.  Up to 4-hour 3D print jobs available.  Children under 14 years old must be accompanied by an adult.  Other times available by appointment.

At City Centre branch: Come in to see the beautiful collection of Chinese Calligraphy by Zhou Shaofeng. The collection consists of both Outline Font Calligraphy and Tear Hand Calligraphy. 

At Poirier branch: Come see this exquisite collection of sculptures and functional pieces by potter and ceramics artist, Kay Bonathan.
